2009 IN PROGRESS PROJECTS -- With the support of the Heinz Endowments, AIR continues to work on it's Pittsburgh 250 Portfolio with artists Glenn Kaino, John Ritter and Delanie Jenkins (others being scheduled). Also, with the support of the Fine Foundation, we are working on a 2009 portfolio that currently includes print artist Bill Fick, and others. Keep an eye on this site for more about this portfolio and AIR's Spring and Summer programming ---- -- call for info --

Open Studio now provides access to the shop on TUESDAY and THURSDAY evenings from 7:00 to 11:00 pm. More focused rentals and tutorials are being scheduled on these same evenings – contact info@artistsimageresource.org for more information.

AIR now has an Epson 9880 and is making high quality large format (44 width) inkjet printing available to artists and others. – contact info@artistsimageresource.org for more information.

PITTSBURGH 250 PORTFOLIO Press Release from the Heinz Endowments / Carnegie Museums ----"Artists Image Resource of Pittsburgh’s North Side, has become an influential leader in the larger visual arts community in the tri-state area. Producing museum quality prints in many different media, AIR is home for professional print making and also is emerging as an important educational institution in the region."

This print portfolio project will involve creating a body of new work by both national and local artists, and will help to seed a new generation of collectors in the city and region. Ten artists will be in residence at Artists Image Resource, and will create new work to be shown at artists image resource and The Warhol museum.
