In 2008 AIR worked on a project with the Carnegie mellon University Robotics Institute entitled “Gigapan Conversations” and presented an exhibition of work that ran through november 14, 2008.
In 2008 AIR presented activities at the Handmade Arcade Craft Event and at the Society for Contemporary Crafts in November.
AIR has been working on a portfolio project with Tom Sokolowski of the Andy Warhol Museum and work from the project will be exhibited at the Andy Warhol Museum and at Artists Image Resource in 2009.

Press Release from the Heinz Endowments / Carnegie Museums ----"Artists Image Resource of Pittsburgh’s North Side, has become an influential leader in the larger visual arts community in the tri-state area. Producing museum quality prints in many different media, AIR is home for professional print making and also is emerging as an important educational institution in the region."
This print portfolio project will involve creating a body of new work by both national and local artists, and will help to seed a new generation of collectors in the city and region. Ten artists will be in residence at Artists Image Resource, and will create a body of new work to be shown at The Warhol next year. Selected artists include: Kay Rosen, Chicago; Takashi Murakami, Tokyo; Rosemarie Trockel, Cologne; Piotr Uklanski, Warsaw and New York; Langlands and Bell, London; Isaac Julien, London; Lari Pittman, Los Angeles; Alfredo Jaar, New York; Mark Tansey, New York; Daniel Martinez, Los Angeles; Delanie Jenkins, Pittsburgh; and John Ritter, Ligonier, Pa.
